Where to Watch Fourth of July Fireworks, Other Events in the Upstate

Here's your handy Patch guide for Fourth of July fireworks near Easley, Greer, Taylors, Simpsonville and Mauldin

The Fourth of July is almost here, which means celebrating our nation's independence with barbecues, sunshine and fireworks. Here's a rundown of where fireworks displays are in and around the Upstate:

Celebrate America Wednesday, Thursday in Easley

Begin celebrating Wednesday in Easley.

From 2 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, enjoy a street festival with vendors, carnival rides, live entertainment on main stage and a cruise-in

The fun continues from 2 to 11 p.m. Thursday with the same events. Fireworks will begin at 9:45 p.m.

Listen to Patriotic Music Wednesday

As part of the Reedy River Series, the 246th Army Band will perform at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 3 at the Peace Center Amphitheater. 

Music, Fireworks at ClemsonFest Wednesday

ClemsonFest will be held from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. at Clemson University Beach and Outdoor Recreation Area.

Celebrate with the Greenville Drive

A Fourth of July Celebration will be held  at 6 p.m. Thursday at Fluor Field. 

Before the game, fans can watch the 7th Annual Hot Dog Eat Contest in the TD Bank Family Terrace. 

After the game, stick around to watch the City of Greenville's Fourth of July fireworks, which are shot from nearby Greenville County Square. 

Don't want to attend the game, but would like to come to the stadium to watch the fireworks? Not a problem! You can come in after the game is over!

Didn't get enough fireworks? The Drive will have their own fireworks display following the Friday, July 5 game.

Red, White and Blue in Greenville

Wells Fargo Red, White and Blue presented by AT&T is Greenville’s Independence Day celebration.

This is a free event held from 5 to 10:30 p.m. Thursday in downtown Greenville.

The celebration will take place from Court Street to Camperdown Street. The festival will also encompass Broad Street from Laurens Street to Falls Street and Falls Park.

Here's the entertainment schedule:

Pepsi Stage
5:30 p.m. – 7:15 p.m. – The Buchanan Boys
7:45-9:30 pm – Bryson Jennings
9:45 pm – Fireworks

TD Stage at the Peace Center Amphitheatre
6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. – 246th Army Band
8:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. – 246th Army Band

Symphony Music and Fireworks on the Fourth

The 2013 Independence Day at Charter Amphitheatre, featuring the Greenville Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Edvard Tchivzhel.

The gates open at 5:30 p.m. Thursday and there'll be activities for kids. The concert begins at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $5 in advance for lawn seating; $10 for lawn seats on July 4; VIP tables are available for $300 for a table of six. Individuals can purchase VIP tickets for $75 (adults) and $30 (children). (VIP tickets include buffet dinner, drinks and VIP parking.) To purchase, contact Ticketmaster or visit the BI-LO Center Box Office. 

Visit Spartanburg's Red, White and Boom

Spartanburg's Independence Celebration is held at Barnet Park.

Attendees  will enjoy patriotic music by the Spartanburg Community Band and Nashville recording artist Brett Eldredge. 

Gates open at 5. Admission is $5, not including food purchases.

Fourth of July Week Scavenger Hunt

Paris Mountain State Park will offer a Fourth of July week scavenger hunt this through July 7 at Paris Mountain State Park.

Participants will hunt for red, white and blue, as well as some stars and stripes. Ask for a scavenger hunt sheet at the fee booth or at the Park Center office.  

When completed, the sheet should be turned in at the Park Center desk, to be in a drawing to win a Paris Mountain State sling backpack. For information, call the park office at (864) 244-5565.
