Six Charged in Alleged Sex Crimes Against Minor

Two Greer residents allegedly did nothing to stop a child in their care from being sexually abused.

Greenville County Sheriff's deputies have arrested six people, two of whom reside in Greer, in connection with the sexual abuse of a young girl.  On April 15, deputies said someone called the Sheriff's Office and said that a young girl allegedly had been sexually abused from age 5 until she was 12, by Norman Quinton Hunt Sr. After an investigation and determining probable cause in the case, deputies were able to charge Hunt with first degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, committing a lewd act on a child, incest and disseminating obscene material to a minor.  The investigation also revealed that the victim, now 13, had legal guardians living in Greer at the time who were aware of the abuse and did not report the incidents to the …
