Anderson Deputies Looking for Two Escaped Inmates
Jason Hughes, of Toccoa, Ga., and Travis Foster of Anderson escaped from the Anderson County jail on Sunday night.
Anderson County deputies said they are looking for two inmates who escaped from the county jail Sunday night. Fox Carolina reports that around 11 p.m., 35-year-old Jason Hughes, of Toccoa, GA, and 27-year-old Travis Foster, of Anderson, chipped away a block of a cell in the older part of the jail. The article said the pair was able to gain access to an office and pushed an air-conditioning unit out of a window. Deputies said the two then jumped out of the window and scaled a perimeter fence.
