UPDATE: Coroner Identifies Person Shot, Killed Outside Apartments
Third murder in the past two weeks in the same general area happened at a White Horse Road apartment complex near Mauldin, deputies said.
UPDATE: A man shot Saturday night at an apartment complex a few miles frm Mauldin has been identified as Edward Goldsmith, 47, of Greenville, said Jeff Fowler, a Greenville County deputy coroner. Fowler said Goldsmith died at 10:50 p.m. while at Greenville Memorial Hospital, Greenville News reported. Original story: Southern Greenville County has become a deadly place in the past two weeks. An unidentified man was shot to death late Saturday night at an apartment complex on White Horse Road less than five miles from Mauldin, Greenville County Sheriff's Master Deputy Laura Campbell said Sunday. I've been wondering the same thing. Second article in a week to describe "near Mauldin" that's much nearer other stuff. Yet things happening in the CITY LIMITS of Mauldin are described as Greenville or Simpsonville. Go figure.   more ›
