Suspicious Strangers Reported At Otter Creek Water Park

Two unidentified females reportedly tried to lure children to their cars on Tuesday at the Greenville County water park.

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office is investigating a complaint made at the Otter Creek Water Park that two unidentified women apparently tried to get children to approach their car outside the Taylors area facility.

At 4:45 p.m., the GCSO received a call from 101 West Darby Road regarding a suspicious vehicle. When deputies arrived on scene, the person who made the call said that 8-year-old and 9-year-old girls were standing behind the fence at the entrance of the park when a dark gray vehicle containing two, possibly hispanic, females pulled up, Laura Campbell, public information officer for the GCSO said.

The women then motioned to the children and told them "come here." The children refused to approach the vehicle, and the pair left the scene. Deputies are now on the lookout for the vehicle.
