Here are the latest announcements from Tigerville Elementary School in Taylors.
- PTA Skate Night will be Thursday, Jan. 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roller Sports in Taylors.
- 4K students will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan 26. Buses will run for those 4K students who need bus transportation.
- 5th grade students and their parents should plan on attending Curriculum Night at Blue Ridge Middle School on Monday, Jan. 30th. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. in the auditorium.

- Students in Bobbie Jo Bright's class enjoyed "bear pancakes" as they learned about hibernation.
- 5K students enjoyed a hands-on lesson about solids and liquids.

- The window for 4K registration is now open. In order to register for 4K, the child must be 4 years old on or before Sept. 1 and you must bring a copy of your child's birth certificate, immunization record and two proofs of residency.
- 1st grade students enjoyed a trip to the Peace Center to see "Henry and Mudge."
- 3rd grade students invited their families to a special Tea Party so they could share their writing.
- The next social for 4K through 2nd grades will be held on Thursday, Feb. 2, and for 3rd through 5th grades on Friday, Feb. 3. Students must have a signed permission slip returned to school by the morning of their social in order to stay after. The socials end at 4 p.m. each day.
