Greenville Schools 2013-14 Calendar Released
The 2013-14 calendar for Greenville County Schools has been released, and includes the first day for students on Wednesday, Aug. 21, and the last day on Thursday, June 5, 2014.
Greenville County Schools will begin the 2013-14 school year on Aug. 21, pushing the last day of school to June 6.
According to state law, school can begin no earlier than the third Monday in August.
Holidays for the 2013-14 school year include:

- Labor Day, Sept. 2
- Thanksgiving Break, Nov. 27-29
- Winter Break, Dec. 23 - Jan. 3
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Jan. 20
- Presidents’ Day, Feb. 17
- Spring Break, April 14-18
- Memorial Day, May 26.
* The last three days of school, June 3-5, are half-days for students.
** Students will not attend school on Professional Development Workdays for teachers during the school year. Dates for 2013-14 are: Oct. 17-18; and Jan. 17.

*** Three school makeup days, in order of use, are: March 7, March 10 and June 6. These days become student attendance days if days are missed earlier in the school year. Makeup days, not used, become school holidays.
