Two Presidential Hopefuls, U.S. Senator in Upstate on Tuesday

Rick Santorum and Rick Perry will make campaign stops in the area, while Sen. Jim Demint holds a workshop for those who provide services for orphans.

Two presidential hopefuls and a U.S. senator are all in the Upstate today.

Rick Santorum will be in both Spartanburg and Greenville on Tuesday.

The former U.S. senator from Pennsylvania will appear at a fundraiser for the Spartanburg County GOP at noon at Spice of Life, 100 Wood Row.

At 3 p.m., he will meet the First Monday in Greenville at The Poinsett Club, 807 E. Washington St., Greenville.

Presidential hopeful Rick Perry will also make a stop in the Upstate.

Perry is expected to provide more details on his flat tax and economic plan during a stop in Gray Court. Perry will be speaking at 11 a.m. at ISO Poly Film.


U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint is hosting the 2011 Adoption and Foster Care Conference, designed for professionals, families and orphan care providers, at Taylors First Baptist Church.

Registration for the event, which will feature speaker Ryan Dobson, the son of christian author and Focus on the Family founder Dr. James Dobson, has closed.
