Two Incumbents File to Keep Council Seats

District Two Councilman Wayne Griffin filed his paperwork on July 31, while District Six Councilwoman Judy Albert filed on Aug. 5.

Two members of Greer City Council have filed to run for re-election in November's municipal general election.

District 2 Councilman Wayne Griffin filed his paperwork on July 31.

District 6 Councilwoman Judy Albert filed for re-election on Aug. 5.

Incumbent Gene Gibson and Tom Kriese have filed to run for Greer's Commissioner of Public Works seat.

Filing closes for Greer City Council seats representing Districts 2, 4 and 6 and an at-large Commissioner of Public Works seat at noon Aug. 15. 

Council members serve a four-year term, while Commissioner of Public Works is a six-year term.

Those interested in applying should contact Municipal Clerk Tammy Duncan weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at Greer City Hall or at 801-2027.
