Lindsey Graham Says Obama is 'Tone Deaf' on National Security

Graham says he's never been more concerned about national security than he is now.

Appearing on Fox News Sunday with Sen. Dick Durbin, Sen. Lindsey Graham said that President Barack Obama is "tone deaf" in the war on terror.

In a speech on Friday, the president signaled that there was going to be a shift in the nation's policy on drones and how to handle prisoners at Guantanamo Bay.

Graham and Durbin also addressed a series of stories about assaults and harassments in the military. A report published last week said that 26,000 members of the military faced such abuse last year. Graham called the situation a "disgrace" and women in particular are "putting up with way too much."

Regarding the hacking of journalists' information at both Fox News and the Associated Press by the Department of Justice, Graham said, "We're beginning to criminalize journalism...this is clearly an overreach."

Graham told Fox host Chris Wallace that reports about investigations of conservative groups by the IRS showed that, "There is clearly an organized effort within the IRS to target political opponents of the President," he said.

Durbin disputed that notion and said the groups were not following the rules outlined by the IRS for 501(c)4 groups.

Graham went on to call for an independent counsel to investigate the IRS.
