Greenville Dems Suit Over Candidates' Eligibility Tossed Out
Another candidate was thrown off the ballot.
The lawsuit by the Greenville Democratic Party alleging that three Republican candidates were ineligible to be placed on primary ballots was dismissed Tuesday in a Richland County court.
Kizer and Turner are both slated to be on the ballot in November.
Barnes was given the opportunity to testify on his on behalf, but he chose not to speak. He was kicked off the ballot as a result of that decision.

Barnes defeated Joe Baldwin in the Republican primary for County Council Seat 18. Baldwin will now be on the ballot.
Kizer was unopposed in her primary race and is scheduled to oppose Karl Allen for the Senate 7 seat.

"I'm on the ballot and I'm ready to win in November," Kizer told Patch Tuesday evening.
Turner is expected to be unopposed. for the Senate 8 seat.
In Pickens County, a circuit court affirmed GOP Chair Chad Connelly was correct in making B.R. Skelton the nominee for House Seat 3. Ed Harris should not have been on the ballot, the court found.
