Wreck On Rutherford Results In Injuries

South Carolina Highway Patrol and Piedmont Park Fire Department were on scene of an auto wreck that happened between noon and 1 p.m. Monday on Rutherford Road.

Piedmont Park firefighters confirmed that there was at least one injured party taken to the hospital by EMS, though the severity of the injuries are not clear.

Patch is awaiting to receive further details on the incident from the South Carolina Highway Patrol. Traffic was backed up on Rutherford near Artillery Road all the way to its intersection with Stallings Road, though tow trucks have sense helped ease congestion by removing one of the involved cars - a black and gray two-door compact car.
