Taylors Man Faces Murder Trial For 2007 Slaying

Korey Love, now 22, is accused of gunning down an employee at a local Wendy's five years ago.

A Taylors man will have his day in court Monday, five years after he allegedly shot an employee at a local fast food restaurant during a botched robbery. 

Korey Love, 22, was only 17 years old in 2007, when he and his step-brother, Eric Ransom, allegedly shot Marvelin Isaac Bass III on the sidewalk outside of the Wendy's at 943 N. Pleasantburg Drive, where Bass worked. 

Love is charged with murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, attempted armed robbery and possession of a pistol by someone under the age of 18.

Love wasn't arrested by the Greenville Police Department until 2010, some three years after the crime that took the 22-year-old Bass' life.
