Taylors Man Convicted Of Murder

Korey Love, 23, was convicted Thursday of murder and other charges related to the death of Isaac Bass.

Five years after Marvelin Isaac Bass was shot to death outside the Wendy's restaurant 943 North Pleasantburg Drive, the man accused of pulling the trigger was convicted for his murder. 

Korey Love, 23, was found guilty by a jury of murder, attempted armed robbery, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime and possession of a pistol by a person under the age of 18. 

Judge Edward Miller sentenced Love, accused of shooting Bass in the neck after a robbery attempt near Bass' places of employment on Jan. 27, 2007, to 50 years in prison without the possibility of parole.

The case remained unsolved until 2010, when Love and his stepbrother, Eric Ransom, were arrested after the Greenville Police Department received a tip via Crime Stoppers that led to the discovery of eyewitnesses.
