Sheriff's Office Seeks Help In Murder Cold Case

Miguel Angel Hermosillio Alcaraz is wanted for 2003 homicide.

The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the assistance from the media and public to help locate Miguel Angel Hermosillio Alcaraz, who has an outstanding warrant for murder. 

On April 20, 2003, Alcaraz followed the victim, Medy Dora El Zelaya, into the parking lot of Barrington Park Apartments located at 1201 Cedar Lane Road in Greenville.

Once in the parking lot of the “B” building, Alcaraz approached El Zelaya’s vehicle and shot her twice through an open window, killing her. After Alcaraz shot the victim, he fled, and has yet to be apprehended.

Alcaraz may possibly still be in the area, and also has a prior address of RR 2, Box 155A, Terry’s Gap Road, Hendersonville, North Carolina. 

Anyone who may have information regarding the location of Alcaraz is urged to contact Crime Stoppers locally at 23-CRIME.
