Second Arrest Made In Taylors Cold Case

Scott Lowe, of Taylors, arrested for murder of Amber Daniel, Chris Porcoro.

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office confirmed Thursday it had made a second arrest in the 2011 murders of Amber Daniel and Chris Porcoro.

Laura Campbell, spokesperson for the GCSO, confirmed Scott Lowe, 24 has been charged with murder. The announcement comes just two days after the arrest of Manuel Nicolas Granados, 18, who was reportedly linked to a firearm in North Carolina that investigators later determined to be the murder weapon.

While Granados' arrest warrant indicates his own statements put him at the scene of the crime, and the investigation links him to the murder weapon, the warrant for the arrest of Lowe specifically identifies Lowe as the shooter.

As uniformed deputies began to arrive and securei the scene, responding fire department personnel found the two victims, who had been shot. The fire was believed to have been set purposefully following the murder.
