Motorcyclist Dies After Chase Ends in Greer

Man pronounced dead at the scene.

A Lyman man is dead after leading police on a chase through two counties.

WSPA reports that the  chase ended in Greer when James McLean Logan, 33, ran over a speed bump on his motorcycle and lost control of the bike.

Logan was ejected from the motorcycle. Greenville County Coroner B. Parks Evans said Logan died at the scene.

The chase began shortly after 9pm Thursday, after a state trooper attempted to stop a driver who had failed to stop at a stop sign in Spartanburg County, Lance Corporal Bill Rhyne with the SC Highway Patrol told WSPA.

The driver did not stop and the chase continued into Greenville County.
