Man Killed In Taylors Wreck

Motorcylist killed when SUV pulls out in front of him.

A Spartanburg man was killed Sunday night when an SUV pulled out in front of him in Taylors, the South Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed Monday. 

Bill Rhyne with the SCHP said the wreck occurred at roughly 9:45 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of S.C. Highway 290 and S.C. Highway 253 in Taylors. 

The collision occurred when Kristin Pennington, 26, of Greer, was driving her 2004 Chevy Tahoe north on S.C. 253. Pennington reportedly pulled out in front of Daryl Faircloth, who was identified as the deceased by the Greenville County Coroner's Office.

Faircloth was driving his 1984 Kawasaki motorcycle east on S.C. 290 when he struck Pennington's SUV as it pulled out in front of him, Rhyne said. Faircloth was declared dead at Greenville Memorial Hospital. He was wearing a helmet. 

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday. Highway Patrol and the Greenville County Coroner's Office is still investigating the collision. Pennington was wearing a seatbelt and was uninjured.
