John Ludwig Gets Jail Time

On Friday morning a Greenville judge revoked Ludwig's probation and sent him to jail for three years.

The Greenville business man, who avoided prison time after crashing his car into a home and killing the man, is now headed to prison.

Multiple media outlets are reporting that 39-year-old John Ludwig Jr.'s probation has been revoked by a Greenville judge on Friday.

TV station WYFF reports Ludwig will serve three years in prison, complete his probation started in August 2010 and complete an anger management program.

Ludwig had been , after allegedly striking his wife with an open hand. As a result of the incident, he was arrested again for violating his probation.

Fox Carolina reports that Ludwig was on probation as part of a guilty plea to reckless homicide when he was arrested on the domestic violence charge. The article said Ludwig was originally charged with murder after his Maserati hurtled through a field, launched off an embankment and plowed into Frederic Bardsley's home, killing the 62-year-old homeowner as he sat watching television in 2009.
