Highway Patrol Needs Help in Identifying Driver

Troopers are asking that anyone who knew the passenger, Reid Donze of Greer, to contact them at (864) 241-1010.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating fatal crash that killed one man, sent another to the hospital and a third man to the Augusta Burn Center.

The crash happened about 11:55 a.m. at South Carolina Highway 11 at the ramp to Highway 25.

According to troopers, two pickup trucks collided head-on, ran off the road and caught fire.

Troopers said the driver of a 1987 pickup truck was killed as he pulled on to Highway 11 from the Highway 25 ramp and did not yield the right of way to an oncoming truck pulling a horse trailer.

The driver of the 1987 truck has not been identified, but was carrying a passenger, Reid Donze of of Greer, who was taken to the Augusta Burn Center for injuries.

Authorities are seeking anyone who knows Donze or can help identify the driver of that vehicle to call the Highway Patrol at (864) 241-1010.

The driver of the second truck was transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital for his injuries.
