Barrels Case Suspect In Custody
John Michael Young charged with two counts of murder, one count of unauthorized removal of a dead body. Another suspect charged as an accessory.
The remaining suspect at large in the case of two bodies found in barrels in Lake Hartwell has been captured.
WYFF 4 reports that John Michael Young was arrested early this morning in Anderson. Young stands charged with two counts of murder and one count of unauthorized removal of a dead body.
Investigators had named Young as a suspect in the case after executing a search warrant on a home on Centerville Road in Anderson.

The other suspect named in the case, Shaine David Fischer, was already in custody on unrelated charges.
He is charged with two counts of accessory after the fact of murder.

The body of 37-year-old Kellie Mitchell was found in a barrel in Lake Hartwell near the I-85 bridge Wednesday afternoon.
The next day, a second body was found in a barrel near the Centerville Road bridge. The body was identified as 52-year-old Tony Lamar McGinnis.
Both were killed from blunt force trauma to the head, investigators said.
