Arrest Made In Taylors Cold Case

An arrest has been made in connection with the 2011 murders of Christopher Porcoro and Amber Daniel, the Greenville County Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday. 

On April 3, 2011, Porcoro and Daniel were found shot to death inside a duplex at 2004 East Lee Road after the authorities responded to a fire call there. As uniformed deputies began to arrive and securei the scene, responding fire department personnel found the two victims, who had been shot. The fire was believed to have been set purposefully following the murder. 

Manuel Nicolas Granados, 18, of Swannanoa, North Carolina, was arrested at 1 p.m. Tuesday by the Greenville County Sheriff's Office in connection with the slayings. He is charged with murder. 

According to the GCSO, investigators have been able to place Granados at the scene of the crime and recover the murder weapon. Granados himself has reportedly placed himself at the scene, according to arrest warrants, and he was arrested in 2011 in North Carolina in possession of the revolver that has now been identified as the murder weapon. 

Granados was taken into custody at 24 Cunningham Road in Greenville at the Southern Pines Apartments. 

Granados is being held at the Greenville County Detention Center, where he is awaiting a bond hearing.
