Patch.com will be on hand at 1 p.m. today to report on the Greenville County Sheriff's Office's arrest in the murders of an elderly couple that rocked a quiet Eastside community earlier this month.
The Greenville County Sheriff's Office has made an arrest in connection with the murders of Gary and Helen Wells.
"Yes, an arrest has been made, but at this time additional information is not going to be released due to there still being an ongoing investigation," said Jonathan Smith, public information officer for the GCSO.
Gary Wells, 78 and Helen Wells, 77, were found dead Oct. 3 morning in their 10 Terramont Drive home on the Eastside when the housekeeper couldn't get anyone to come to the door. She asked a next door neighbor to help, who discovered the two stabbed to death in two separate parts of the home.
