Armed Robbery Near Berea Results In Arrests

Two arrested on multiple charges.

A June 2 incident at an apartment complex near Berea has resulted in the arrest of two people.

According to the Greenville County Sheriff's Office, deputies arrived at 1114 North Franklin Road after being dispatched there on an apparent robbery call.

Once deputies arrived, they were told that Martha Ann Page had approached a man in the parking lot of the North Franklin Apartments speaking of "business," but was promptly turned away. Soon after,  Larry Darnell Green reportedly approached the same man. This time, however, Green reportedly was armed with a firearm.

Green allegedly demanded the victim go inside his apartment to go get money, but the victim refused, resulting in a struggle. That struggle came to an end, however, when another person pulled into the apartment complex, resulting in Green leaving the first victim and pointing the gun at a second victim, eventually stealing her purse and leaving with Page.

Deputies later located the vehicle and Green and Page. Page was charged with attempted armed robbery, two counts of conspiracy and armed robbery with a deadly weapon. Green is charged with two counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime, two counts of conspiracy, attempted armed robbery and armed robbery.
