12-year-old Charged In Connection with Taylors Teen's Death Under House Arrest

Boy charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of Trayvon Dodd.

A 12-year-old charged in connection with the shooting death of a Taylors teen earlier this month has been placed under house arrest.

WSPA reports that the boy has been released from juvenile detention after the Greenville County Sheriff's Office charged him with involuntary manslaughter Friday.

Deputies with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of shots fired on September 11.

When deputies arrived at the Woodleigh Drive residence, they found a body in the backyard of the home.

Deputy Coroner Mike Ellis has identified the teen as 15-year-old Trayvon Dodd, a Taylors resident.
