Wilbur Bosworth Sigmon, Jr., 72, passed away September 5, 2013 at Regency Hospital in Greenville. He was born October 4, 1940 in Charleston, WV and graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School in 1958.
Wilbur was predeceased by his parents, Wilbur B. Sigmon, Sr. and Mary Catherine Hammons Sigmon and two sisters, Dolores Ann Moore of Norfolk, VA and Phyllis Jean Hall of Sun City, FL.
Surviving are his wife, Susan Wright Sigmon; their children, Catherine Milam of Fayetteville, NC, and her children Joshua Sigmon, Sarah Lott and Andrew Milam; Paul G. Sigmon, wife Beth, and their son, Ethan G. of Austin TX; Wilbur B. Sigmon, III, wife Barbara, and their children, Meagen, Lauren and Zachary of Taylors; John C. Sigmon, wife Paula, and their children, John Paul, Aaron and Ryan of Mt. Airy, NC; Richard W. Sigmon, wife Gina and their children, Alexandra and Nathan of Simpsonville; a great-granddaughter, Madison Jade Sigmon of Arkansas; a sister, Ruth Ellen Yunk of Pennsville, NJ; and two brothers, James E. Sigmon, and wife Mary Ann, of Rand, WV and Charles N. Sigmon, and wife Susan, of Clarksburg, WV.
A private family graveside service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Maranatha Baptist Church, One Maranatha Acres, Sissonville, WV 25321, or to Wounded Warriors Project.
