Thomas Carl Lind, 76, passed away Monday morning, September 2, 2013.
Born in Tartu, Estonia, he was the son of the late Dr. Harry and Dr. Viiu Saral Lind.
He was a graduate of Marion High School in Marion, NC and North Carolina State University. He was a retired executive with J.P. Stevens and Co. In his pastime he loved a good day of golf and also was an avid bird hunter.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dorothy Ricks Lind, of the home; his daughter and son-in-law, Kristi and Keith Kingren and their son, Edward Thomas Kingren of Simpsonville; and his sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lind and Michael Nase of Greenville.
A service to celebrate his life will be 6:00pm Wednesday, September 4, at The Mackey Mortuary. The family will receive friends following the service at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tamassee DAR School, P.O. Box 8, Tamassee, SC 29686 or the charity of one's choice .
