Douglas William Tatham, "Moe", 67, of Greenville, died peacefully with his family by his side, Friday, Sept 27, 2013 at MUSC, Charleston, SC.

Born January 5, 1946 in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Eva Hudgens Tatham and William Dewey Tatham.

A graduate of Parker High School, he attended the University of South Carolina but returned to Greenville to pursue a career in business. He worked in outside sales and management for Fine Wines by Ben Arnold, Southeastern Equipment, IH Services and later in sporting goods. A man of many talents, Doug enjoyed carpentry, business entrepreneurship, golf and shagging. However, the love of his son, Matt, was his greatest happiness. "Moe's" larger than life presence and joy of living will be missed and long remembered by his family and many devoted friends.

He is survived by his son, Matthew Bennett Tatham, former wife, Mary B. McWhorter and Randy McWhorter, all of Mt Pleasant, SC.

A private homecoming celebration is planned in Greenville, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Greenville Animal Shelter, 305 Airport Rd, Greenville, SC 29607
