Grand Opening Operation Lost Vote HQ in Spartanburg

After the SC Supreme Court and do-nothing legislators took away our right to vote, candidates and volunteers are determined to ensure that South Carolina voters have a choice in November.

After a very successful campaign season during which approximately 150 petition candidates secured enough signatures to be on the November ballot, Operation Lost Vote is gearing up for the Fall campaign and opening a 3,000 square foot, mission headquarters at 1529 Suite B, John B White Sr Blvd, Spartanburg, SC.

“After the State Supreme Court ruling several months ago tossed approximately 250 candidates off the ballot over a technicality and disenfranchised hundreds of thousands of voters, those candidates and their volunteers worked for weeks gathering signatures door to door,” said Karen Martin, Spartanburg Tea Party organizer. “The voters understood that their right to make a choice at the ballot box was taken away from them by the Supreme Court, aided by do-nothing incumbent legislators. Operation Lost Vote is a mission to give them back that right by helping candidates become certified through petition process for the November election.”

The headquarters will be available for petition candidates to hold meetings or training, operate a phone bank, and process campaign mailings or materials. Several petition candidates will be in attendance Saturday to thank volunteers and share their plans for campaigning on reform issues, such as separation of powers, shorter legislative sessions, and full transparency at all levels of government.
