Sooie't Relief BBQ Benefit for Greer Relief

The 2014 Sooie’t Relief BBQ Benefit is a sanctioned Kansas City BBQ Society (KCBS) State Championship event to benefit Greer Relief, a 501(c)3 non-profit. Over 40 competition cookers from the Southeast to the Midwest will be coming to downtown Greer to compete for the best chicken, pork, and beef with a chance to win $9,000 in prize money. This Free event will take place on Friday, August 22nd, from 6 – 10 PM and Saturday, August 23rd, from 10 Am – 10 PM.
Tickets to purchase food, beverages and kids rides are available for $1 each. Included are 4 KCBS Competition BBQ Vendors, selling BBQ, brisket, ribs, and more! Other vendors will be selling anything from fresh squeezed lemonade to homemade ice cream.
On Friday night, the Wing Fling will open the event, with cookers competing for the popular vote on the best wings. On Saturday, the Tasters Choice competition will give you a chance to taste BBQ at it’s best for People’s Choice!
