- Just in time for the winter, the  at the Greenville Recreation District's headquarters in Taylors will begin today at 5:30 p.m. at the Pavilion Ice Rink. Professional instructors will teach classes of children and adults with simple and easy to learn moves from the U.S. Figure Skating Basic Skills Program. Those interested can call 864-322-7529.

- Brushy Creek Elementary School will be holding a "Night of the Arts" tonight at 6:30 p.m. Each child will have a piece of artwork hung in the hallway surrounding the cafeteria, while the school's PTA will be serving hot chocolate and cookies for those attending. The event will also feature a performance by Brushy Creek's honors chorus group
