Open House for the First Cirrus Aircraft Training Center in Upstate SC

Up until now, anyone who wanted specialized pilot training on a Cirrus aircraft had to go all the way to Charleston or to another state.  Gerald Gaige, a pilot who bases his aircraft at the Greenville Downtown Airport, says "Wise pilots know that learning never stops in aviation, and Cirrus pilots fly technologically advanced aircraft systems making continued advanced training even more important for them. The Special Services Cirrus Training Center (CTC) will make the very best training methods available right here in Greenville; the center of general aviation in South Carolina."  

"Special Services Corporation (SSC) has been offering charter flights and managing Cirrus aircraft owned by individuals and companies for a many years.  Many new Cirrus' have been sold to Upstate residents and companies.  Now these owners will have a much more convenient place to train," stated Michael Matthews, Cirrus Aircraft.

SSC will now offer a full lineup of training options for current and future Cirrus pilots, including Pilot Certification, Instrument Rating, Cirrus initial, Cirrus recurrent training, BFR and ICC.  The Training Center activities also include renting Cirrus aircraft for flight training and the “Cirrus Ten Hour Test Drive” promotion.

SSC's New Cirrus Training Center will have an open house on Saturday, September 28th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., during the 3rd annual Southeast Aviation Expo.  At the open house visitors will be able to see the Vision Jet SF50 Mockup and The Vision Inspired SR22T Aircraft on display.  Eric Groves and Tim McConnell, our full time Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilots (CSIP) and Cirrus Aircraft representatives will be available to show you around and answer any questions you may have about becoming a Cirrus owner or pilot.
