BMW Manufacturing was named the most improved export member in the National Association of Foreign Trade Zones on Thursday, WSPA reports.
The Greer area houses the nation’s largest BMW manufacturing plant, and is the only exporter of the X3, X5, and X6 models through the Port of Charleston.
“BMW’s plant in South Carolina continues to be a leader in the passenger vehicle segment and we applaud their results,” said Lewis Leibowitz, Board Chairman for the National Association of Free Trade Zones.
