Writer to Share Stories of Spooks, Sports

John Boyanoski has collected stories of poltergeists and pigskins and will be sharing them at library event Oct. 18

Author John Boyanoski is a fountain of knowledge about ghosts and the gridiron, and will be sharing some of his stories later this month.

Boyanoski is the author of Ghosts of Upstate South Carolina , More Ghosts of Upstate South Carolina and his latest book, Palmetto Pigskins: A History of South Carolina High School Football.

He’ll be guest of honor at an Author After Hours event held by the Pickens County Library System next week.

The event will be held 6pm Thursday, October 18 at the Sarlin Branch Library in Liberty. Boyanoski will share some interesting stories about phantoms and football and answer questions from the audience. Signed copies of his books will be available for purchase.

Many areas across the Upstate pop up several times in Boyanoski’s ghost books.
