A small child was struck and killed by a vehicle Monday morning, WYFF4 reports. 

Coroner Jeff Fowler confirmed that Yoely Padillo died Monday after being struck at the Riverview mobile home park, located Saluda Dam Road.

Fowler said someone called 911 to report that the child had been hit at about 11:30 a.m.  

A neighbor said Yoely has two siblings. The neighbor said Yoely often played near the curb of the street in the community where the accident took place. 

The South Carolina Highway Patrol it believes they have identified the vehicle that was involved.
