Thieves Take $10,000 Of Jewelry From Local Business

A business on Haywood road was targeted by two crooks in a smash and grab theft.

The Greenville Police Department is investigating a smash and grab theft that occurred over the weekend at a local jewelry store, WYFF reports. 

Police were dispatched to the Geiss and Sons store on Haywood Road at 2:20 p.m., and investigators learned that a pair of men, who have yet to be identified, walked into the store, smashed open a case, grabbed multiple Rolex watches and quickly fled on foot. 

A store employee tried unsuccessfully to catch the men, who made off with some $10,000 worth of watches.
