Speak Out: What Was Your Favorite Commercial from The Super Bowl
Did it feature a Doritos-scarfing goat or a Budweiser Clydesdale? Let us know!
For some, the annual Super Bowl is a night of commercials interrupted at every few minutes by a football game.
Some people just tune in for the ads to see the new characters and catchphrases unveiled during the big game.
Sometimes a Super Bowl ad becomes iconic – more people may know “Mean” Joe Greene from the classic “Hey Kid! Catch” Coca-Cola ad than for his career on the gridiron.
Sometimes a Super Bowl commercial can unveil a new product, like Apple choosing to unveil the MacIntosh in a 1984-like spot spearheaded by “Alien” and “Blade Runner” director Ridley Scott.
Sometimes companies choose the Super Bowl, with its guaranteed millions upon millions of viewers, to unveil a new look for an existing product, like when Pepsi unveiled its new can design in a spot featuring supermodel Cindy Crawford.
The real winner last night was CBS, racking up not only hundreds of milions of viewers, but between $3.8 -$4 million per commercial, according to the International Business Times.
The scary Doritos goat was my favorite in the early going, until, as she often does, Amy Poehler stole my heart with her spot for Best Buy.
What was your favorite ad from last night? And let us know your favorite commercials from previous years too!

I Liked the commerical about the Budweisier Clydesdale the BEST. It brought tears to my eyes. It was beautiful.
I also like the robot of the KIA car. Taco Bell's was good too. I liked the Doitos goat and the Doitoes on that the men dressed to custumers for the little girl.
Thanks, Louise Plaster

I really liked the Clydesdale commercials, too, Louise. They always get to me. And I loved the Dodge Ram Farmer ad using narration by the late Paul Harvey. He had such a wonderful voice.

I watch the Super Bowl game for the commercials. But mainly to see if there will be a Budweiser Clydesdale commercial. Each year it amazes me - this year was no different.

I liked several Super Bowl commercials. First was the farmer as it was so true, then the old farts and Taco Bell followed by the Clysdale horse as it was very moving and
it brought tears to my eyes.
