Slain Couple's Housekeeper Arraigned on Federal Charges

Shirley Rogers was arraigned Thursday on federal charges of credit card fraud, stolen mail and aggravated identity theft.

The housekeeper of a slain eastside couple appeared in federal court Thursday.

Shirley Rogers, who found her employers 78-year-old Gary Wells and his wife, 77-year-old Helen, stabbed to death in their Terramont Drive home Oct. 3, was arraigned on federal charges of credit card fraud, stolen mail and aggravated identity theft.

Rogers was arrested a week after the couple was killed and charged with bank card fraud and identity fraud. Greenville deputies said Rogers used Helen Wells' bank card without her permission.
