Since this site's launch on July 22, it has been our privilege here at Patch to bring the residents of Taylors and the Wade Hampton area of Greenville important, useful information for their everyday lives.
I wanted to simply take a moment this holiday season to thank all of you for making Taylors-Wade Hampton Patch your source for local news.
I've been working hard to bring you the news, as I'm sure all of you out there have been striving to succeed in whatever you do - whether you're a student, an engineer, a day care worker, a mechanic, a businessman or a job-seeker.
This time of year gives all of us a brief respite from the toils of our everyday lives. The holidays grant us an opportunity to reflect upon aspects of our lives that can be easy to take for granted.
Faith. Family. Love.
Christmas and Hanukkah may be ancient traditions, but the overarching themes we see in them are just as relevant today as they've ever been.
So drink some eggnog, eat some prime rib and stand under the mistletoe. This is a holiday you richly deserve. Enjoy it!
Happy Holidays,

WHAT HOLIDAY DO YOU SPEAK OF? I THOUGHT IT WAS CHRISTMAS...OH WELL, DUMMY ME.

Harry, well on Dec. 24th, the Jewish readers of the Patch were on the 4th day of Hanukkah, the Wiccan and Pagan readers had celebrated the Winter Solstice 2 days before, the readers with ties to Britain celebrate Boxing Day 2 days from the date of the article, with Kwanzaa also celebrated that same day. Of course, all of us will be ringing in the New Year a little over a week later. SO I guess, Christmas, my favorite holiday of the year, is not the only holiday celebrated near Dec. 24th.
