Memorial Service For "Izzy" Powell Tonight
Daughter of former Gamecock baseball standout Landon Powell died this week.
The 4-month-old daughter of former South Carolina baseball standout Landon Powell will be remembered tonight.
A memorial service will be held tonight for Isabel Faye "Izzy" Powell tonight at 6 p.m. at Grace Church, 101 West McBee Avenue in Greenville. Izzy was diagnosed with hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis, a condition where the immune system attacks the bone marrow and in Izzy's case caused her liver to be too big for her body.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Grace.

The family is being served by Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, who published her obituary. A portion of it reads:
"Isabel Faye "Izzy" Powell, 4 months, daughter of Landon Reed and Allyson Davies Powell, died Friday, January 25, 2013.

Izzy fought a courageous battle. Her family feels that Izzy was sent here for a divine purpose and her impact on those who loved her but never met her can never be measured.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by brother, Holden Powell; twin sister, Ellie Powell; grandparents, Bo and Donna Davies of Greenville; and Ron and Cathy Powell of Cary, NC."
