Greenville County Sheriff's Office Investigating Trailer Thefts

Tens of thousands of dollars worth of enclosed trailers and equipment have been stolen in the past week.

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office is investigating the theft of two trailers containing thousands of dollars worth of equipment.

Laura Campbell, public information officer for the GCSO, said that between July 20 and July 23, a 10-foot-long enclosed trailer valued at $4,000 and containing some $10,000 worth of tools was stolen from 426 South Buncombe Road in Greer. The trailer belonged to Greenville Refrigeration, Campbell said.

Also, between July 22 and July 23, a 14-foot enclosed trailer valued at $10,000 and containing at least $10,000 worth of tools was stolen from 13 Stadley Terrace, off of Old Buncombe Road in Greenville. The trailer belonged to a construction company as part of a new home build at the incident location. The trailer was stolen after it had been parked over night in the front yard of the partially-constructed home.

The GCSO has not said whether or not the two thefts are at all connected.
