Gamecocks, Tigers Dominate Conference Foes

Both Clemson and South Carolina steamrolled their respective opponents in conference play on Saturday.

Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd and South Carolina quarterback Connor Shaw led their squads to big wins Saturday over conference opponents.

Boyd threw for 261 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Tigers to a 45-10 dismantling of the Maryland Terrapins in Clemson's penultimate conference game of the year. Boyd completed 18 passes on 26 attempts and didn't throw an interception in the game, which was lopsided from the start, as the Tigers went into halftime up 35-7. The Tigers went into the game ranked No. 13 in the BCS standings.

Shaw led the Gamecocks in a workman like defeat of Arkansas at Williams-Brice Stadium. Shaw completed 14 of 22 passes for 272 yards and two touchdowns, as well as running for a touchdown in the second quarter in a 48-20 beatdown of the Razorbacks.
