Two men and three Upstate women face drug and prostitution charges following their arrest at a local motel, the Greenville County Sheriff's Office reported Monday.
According to the GCSO, on July 20 at around midnight, deputies responded to the La Quinta Inn located at 31 Old Country Road between Mauldin and Taylors in reference to a prostitution complaint. While conducting the investigation, the Sheriff’s Office alleged that escorts were operating out of one of the hotel rooms.
Five arrests were made as the result of the investigation, deputies said. A search of the male suspects’ vehicle after the arrest allegedly uncovered items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. The two men were subsequently charged with methamphetamine-related offenses in addition to criminal charges stemming from the original prostitution complaint.
