Clemson, South Carolina Jump In BCS Standings

After both Clemson and the University of South Carolina enjoyed conference wins this week, the Tigers and Gamecocks now find themselves on the rise in the latest BCS rankings.

South Carolina's win over Tennessee may have been a costly one, as they lost star running back Marcus Lattimore for the season, but it helped propel the Gamecocks into the top 10 of the BCS standings, according to ESPN

South Carolina, which found itself at No. 13 in the BCS rankings a week ago, is now one of five SEC teams in the top 10. The Gamecocks are at No. 8 after its win this week.

Meanwhile, Clemson's Thursday night win over Wake Forest, which featured record-setting performances by quarterback Tajh Boyd and wide receiver Sammy Watkins, also saw a respectable jump in the BCS, as they moved up from No. 18 to where their rivals the Gamecocks were a week ago - No. 13.
